  • Shone Farm offers students the ability to reside in Resident Housing located on the farm
  • In lieu of rent, student residents are able to do a work exchange of approximately 12 hours per week
  • Application deadline: 5/15/26

Student Farm Livestock Intern

Job duties may include:

  • Working with a small herd of beef cattle and sheep
  • Assisting with rotating livestock in pasture, moving, feeding, and handling livestock as needed
  • This position is about 12-24 hours/ week
  • Must be an SRJC student
  • Student must be enrolled in 6 units in the Fall and Spring, and 3 units in the Summer
  • Must have a valid driver's license

Farm Sales Assistant

Job duties may include:

  • Creating marketing materials: taking photos, crafting content for e-mails and social media
  • Assisting at Pick and Sip, Fall Festival, and Plant Sale events at Shone Farm.
  • Organizing and delivering produce, value added goods, and possibly wine
  • Coordinating and distributing food to students through the SRJC Student Equity program

Farm Garden Intern

Job duties may include: 

  • Participate in the maintenance of the farm, including vegetable, horticulture, agriculture, and landscape plants as well as performs tasks supporting irrigation and fertilization activities on-site
  • This position is about 12-24 hours/ week
  • Must be an SRJC student
  • Student must be enrolled in 6 units in the Fall and Spring, and 3 units in the Summer
  • Must have a valid driver's license

  • Assisting at Pick and Sip events at Shone Farm one Saturday each month
  • Running and tracking wine promotions
